A Horse Farm Wedding in Havre de Grace — Zoey & Zach

Bride and groom sharing their first dance at horse farm wedding in Havre de Grace, Maryland

A few weeks ago, Nichole and I attended her cousin Zoey’s wedding in Havre de Grace, Maryland. It was one of those perfect early autumn days — warm sun, a light breeze, and golden fields stretching across the horse farm where the ceremony took place. The setting couldn’t have been more beautiful or more fitting for Zoey and Zach’s day.

The guest list was huge — more than 300 friends and family gathered to celebrate. The barn and outdoor spaces were filled with laughter, great music, and that unmistakable feeling of joy that comes when two people truly meant for each other say “I do.”

I hadn’t planned to shoot much that day — I was just there to enjoy it with Nichole. But, as always, I brought my camera along (you never know when golden hour will show off). I thought maybe I’d sneak in a few portraits of Nichole and me around the farm as the sun dipped low.

When the reception began, we found our seats right next to the dance floor — the perfect vantage point without even realizing it. I didn’t want to make a big scene with the camera, but the light, the energy, and those first dances were just too good to resist. From where I sat, I was able to quietly capture some beautiful, emotional moments — Zoey and Zach’s first dance, her dad’s proud smile, and the way the crowd surrounded them in pure happiness.

Sometimes, the best photos happen when you least expect them — when you’re not working, not planning, just watching love unfold.

Congratulations to Zoey and Zach — your day was absolutely perfect.
